David Perl, Head of Sales and Business Development.
Q: How did you get to Weever and what’s your background?
A: I’ve been in Business Development and Sales Development for the past 10 years, in the SaaS and also the mobile industry. I decided for Weever Media because it is a Berlin based startup with a great team, great products and an ongoing and very healthy growth. These facts made my decision to joining Weever pretty easy.
Q: What are you main tasks?
A: At Weever, I am heading up Business Development and Sales. This includes finding new channels, industries and customers to work with as well as negotiating deals. We are utilising the big shift in marketing budgets towards mobile and are currently seeing many non-mobile industries asking for our services. To encourage, promote and help these new industries and to find their natural habitat within the mobile industry is also what I do and ejoy doing.
Q: What are your biggest challenges?
A: Getting up to speed with the ever-changing and fast-paced mobile marketing industry. Fortunately we have very good training programs here and its ok to drive my knowledgable co-workers nuts by asking too many questions….
Q: Where do you see the marketing heading to?nuts
A: Mobile Marketing will be heading to focusing on automation, impact analysis, as well as analytic. The industry has a clear and growing trend however, marketing is still comparably immature when it comes to apps. Tools will be needed that solve some of the most critical questions in regard to automation, especially in regard to tracking tools.
Q: Sorry, but we have to ask this: who is your favourite rock-star?
A: Generally, I’m pretty eclectic when it comes to music. I like Nirvana, Metallica, Jazz, Classic, Klezmer, Mizrahi, House, Trance, Hip Hop… I believe every music has its goods and bads. However, my personal rock-star is my wife without whom I wouldn’t be where I am today. She is extremely supportive in anything I’m doing while being an incredible mother and wife.
